Nerf Dart Tag SwarmFire Review

You guys seem to really like my nerf gun reviews, so here is another dart tag gun, the SwarmFire!
Also known as, the wide-mouthed bass!
The SwarmFire is a full-auto, battery powered blaster that gets about 30-35ft. stock. The SwarmFire can't jam and has a high rate of fire, about 3-4 darts per second. The SwarmFire features a removable shoulder stock, which is a really comfortable stock. With the stock on it is the EXACT size of a Longshot, without it it's a little bit bigger than an Alpha Trooper. It takes 6 C batteries (not included) and holds 20 darts. Overall, there's really nothing bad about this blaster. I think it would be a great addition to any loadout.

To sum up this review, BUY THIS BLASTER.
Also, I'm using a different camera. What do you guys think? Let me know in the comments.

News; Nerf gun reviews, Pokemon Dark Explorers Prerelease, and a mod guide.

This week, I'm going to make a goal to make a post about all of the above listed things. The Dark Explorers Prerelease that I'm going to is this weekend, so I will try and make a post about that on Saturday. I have 3 nerf guns that will each be getting a review throughout the week, I have a mod guide coming soon, and I have a little surprise that will be coming this week as well.

1st week, nearly 100 pageviews?

Wow. I was not expecting to get this many page views in such a short time. I just want to say that if any of you enjoy my posts and look forward to what I post next, then I really appreciate that people look forward to reviews or mod guides, or just random nerf stuff that I make, then I think you are going to like the secret project coming up. I'm still not going to reveal what said secret project is, mainly because I have more nerf guns than I made posts about, so be looking forward to that. Anyway, that's about it, There will be more posts coming soon.

Nerf Magstrike mod guide

The Nerf Magstrike is a pretty good blaster stock, but with proper mods it can be a very useful and powerful blaster. This mod guide will show you how to do those mods.
The internals of the Magstrike
The piece on the right is a lock that you'll find under that green plate. You will actually want to put the piece on the left back in.
There is a small air release hole on the front of the plunger thingy (On a side note, there were to holes carved in the front of my magstrike, probably because this was pre-owned).
You also will have to remove those white covers over the bladder.
I've noticed that the tooth thing that advances the clip came loose in mine. I just glued it back in.
 The finished internals.
Overall, the magstrike seems to be getting better ranges, mine is older and has never been in the best condition possible, but now it's shooting about 50ft. Another mod you can do is add some duct tape to the side of the clip so that it wont fall back down.

A Simple Overview of Nerf Darts

(From left to right: Buzz Bee dart, Old-style tagger, New-style tagger, Whistlers, Sonic Micro, Streamlines, Vortex disc)
Nerf makes a variety of blasters and darts, but some darts only work in certain blasters. For example, nerf guns with clips usually take streamlines better than say, a Maverick. The dart tag guns take any dart but streamlines. most of the "revolvers" take any dart, and they take them very well. Vortex blasters are obviously use Vortex discs.

COMPARISON

Stickies: Worst range but better accuracy, and plus, they're alot of fun.

Taggers: Best ranges (combined with streamlines and sonic micros) and stick to fabric or dart tag vests.

Whistlers: They whistle (obviously) and have better accuracy but not as much range as streamlines.

Sonic Micros: Denser foam, providing better ranges.

Streamlines: Designed for clips, get better ranges then other darts, and sometimes whistle.
(On a side note, some recolors of streamlines get better ranges)

Vortex Disc: Slower than darts, but yield better range, they also curve.

Basic Nerf Longshot mod guide

The Longshot is a pretty good blaster without mods, but it has a ton of potential. For example, with a proper spring upgrade, Angel Breech, and reinforced internals, it can hit over 100ft. But The mods I'm doing are more basic that any one can do. All you need is a philips head screw driver, a flat head screw driver and a hammer (instead of the flat head and hammer you can actually use needle-nose pliers).

When I tried removing this lock, I felt like plastic almost hit my eye.

Nerf Alpha Trooper CS-18 Orange Mod Works Stage 1 kit review.

For those of you who don't know, Orange Mod works is a company that makes springs and replacement parts for nerf gun mod purposes. They make the "unleashed" performance kits, which are made of metal, and the "massacre" line, which are made of polycarbonate. The stage 1 kits require you to remove the air restrictor in order for the kit to work properly. The alpha trooper will get 50-60ft. with the kit installed.

I highly recommend at least considering these kits if your interested.

Secret Project coming soon?!?!?

Here's a hint. I'm not telling you. :D

Nerf Recon CS-6 Review

The Nerf Recon CS-6 is a popular blaster due to being affordable customizable and overall a great blast. The Recon CS-6 comes with four attachments; a barral extension, a flip-up sight, a stock, and a laser light/ tactical light. The Stock can hold one extra clip, which is helpful in nerf wars. There's also space in the handle to hold one extra dart. The barrel extension increases accuracy but lowers range. The stock is sort of flimsy, but this can be slightly overcome through putting an extra clip in it. The flip-up sight is not particularly accurate, and the light doesn't really make it anymore accurate, but the Recon CS-6 makes a really good secondary weapon when it doesn't have any attachments, due to the increased range and the clip system. Speaking of ranges, the Recon CS-6 gets 20-25 with the barrel and 25-30 Without the barrel. Anyway, here's the Recon CS-6!
Tactical light not included in picture.

A video showcasing the flimsy stock!
Overall, I would give it a 7.5 out of 10. It gets good ranges, but the poor attachments make it not completely worth the $20 you pay.

Nerf dart tag speed load 6 Review

The dart tag speed load 6 is a semi-new blaster for the dart tag line, it's pretty much a decent sized dart tag maverick with a integrated clip instead of a rotating barrel. It can slam fire (I don't know why they made it do that) It gets rather impressive ranges without mods, about 30ft. the blaster is close to the recon in terms of size. The handle is nice and big, the belt loop is sort of convenient, but I don't use it. It holds 6 darts (which is obvious considering the name) (This is also a good time to mention that the new dart tag darts are AWESOME), the integrated clip isn't really fast, but it's very convenient. It does however  jam every once in a while, but it's still a nice powerful blaster.

Speed load 6.
Size compared to the nerf maverick.
I also made a video of me loading/shooting/slam firing it.
Overall, I give the speed load a 8.5 out of 10. It's a solid blaster and will compliment a loadout very well. Mod Guide possibly coming soon.

Introducing, the tactical light Nite Finder! (1.0)

One of my older mods, this night finder has a good looking paint job with a head light hot-glued onto where that useless laser pointer was. The integration could have been much smoother, but this was more of a test at painting and modding nerf guns (which I have grown to enjoy) then to try and professionally integrate a flashlight. The flashlight I integrated is actually very bright, too bad this is the worst time to do night wars. The mods I did are pretty basic. AR removal, spring upgrade (stock spring plus a spare 1 lb. load spring), and seal improvement. The cocking handle was originally painted red, but over time the paint just fell off, so I left it that way. But I'm guessing most of you want to see it, so here it is!

This was my first paint job, and at the time I knew nothing about sanding/prepping.

Overall, I"m very impressed with how this gun turned out, I may be selling it soon, and if I do I"ll make a post about.
